Zulu's New Sound

Last night we didn't get to Zulu's house until late as we had dinner at a friend's house.

I don't know if he was ticked off, or just wanted to get our goat, but as we walked into the kitchen instead of the usually tinny "hello", he made this sound that can only be described as the warning BEEP your home smoke alarm makes, but to the 100th power.

We jumped! I though it was perhaps is was a smoke alarm somewhere, but no, S says he saw Zulu's lips move.
