More Happier At Home! Sweeties...

We are excited in these parts.. we have two new customers for our itty bitty Happier at Home! Pet Sitter business.

Both families will be traveling over this long weekend. One family will have a sweet shy Rotweiller (Chloe), a hyper Black Lab (Houston) and a tiny Poodle (Spencer) for us to care for. The other family has two German Shepherds names Ruby and Oso.

So fun.. brand new families and they all are just nuts about their dogs. Our favorite kind of customers. It is fun to get to know the families and the dogs and then to try and care for them as best we can so the owners feel no stress on their travels.

Every dog has different needs. Our Basset like very, very slow walks and sniff-fests outside and to lay on the floor with someone next to him to rub his belly.

Our Great Dane friend loves to run racehorse-style around her giant back yard and whoosh right past you as you stand watching and wincing. Then she loves to leannnn her head on you as you rub her ears.

We have a Yellow Lab friend who is Miss Hyper. Oh, she just needs love and really wants you to scratch her backside. That is one request I won't fill, but will scratch other spots.

My boys have helped me write my new service agreement and work out pricing for neighborhood residents and those outside my small service area. I ordered business cards with a logo and my oldest recreated it on our computer so I could add it to my invoices and contracts. They are very helpful for me to bounce ideas off of- ideas for pricing, customer service, marketing, etc.

They are looking forward to the work as they get paid by the hour and will be very grateful having them when I visit the 3-dog family! I have pages of notes.... all dogs have different food and potty needs, and meds to take. Oh, what fun!

So, now we have 5 new dogs to meet as well as a parrot. Should be a fun weekend. Lots of loose hair and dog slobber! And we have 3 more jobs booked over the summer.

And, Boomer and Ralphie just love it when we come home smelling of exotic breeds...:) Oh, the smells they will smell...!

*******Update******
Today when I met with one of the new families, I met their Grey African Parrot, Zulu, for whom we also get to care.

The cardinl rule with Zulu is.. DON'T stick our fingers in his cage! I understand it is good I have light hair as he doesn't like brunettes... and that if he acts sweet and puts his back to the bars for us to rub, don't do it. It may be a ruse to get a finger bite. And the dad told me if he does get out, to just run!

Whee!!!

He is beautiful, though... this picture looks just like Zulu..
