Zulu Speaks

We are pet sitting an African Gray Parrot named Zulu. The owners told us he talks.

The first day he just cocked his head and stared at us out of one fish eye.

Today he began to loosen up.... as I left the kitchen to join the boys out back with the dogs, he said,
"See ya later!"

Then, as we let the dogs in for the night, he added

"Good boy! Come on!"

My sons are trying very hard to teach him a phrase in the next 5 days. We visit 30 minutes each morning and night, so during the visit, especially at arriving and leaving, they will repeat the phrase:

"I AM the Senate!"

If you are a Star Wars fan you will recognize it. Cross your fingers that by Tuesday Zulu will be quoting George Lucus!
