HGTV Meets Darth Vader

Update to my HGTV re-do.

The newly arranged Music/Reading Room was just too much of a draw for my light-saber weilding sons. Any room with lots of free space is a perfect place to battle.

I heard the battle begin and hollered the usual warnings to "Be Careful!" and "Why Don't You Go Outside?" which was responded to in laughs since it was 97 degrees, full humidity and miserable. I agreed with their logic and went back to "Be Careful!"

Fast forward to that night. 11:14 pm. I am way asleep. My oldest son creeps in and wakes me. Usually this is due to something Ralphie-related, or a request to stay up later than our agreed upon time.

"Mom," he said- "We kinda broke a picture in our duel."

I rolled over. "OK." Went back to sleep.

Well, it was my Manet print bought at Big Lots a couple of years ago. Like I said I want some art decor with a little more umph for that room, but this was my place holder. It had been propped in the floor as I re-arranged. It now had shattered glass. The boys had carefully placed a throw pillow across the damaged area.

As I said I like a lived in house. This house has a lot of memories and most carry marks and bashes with them.
