My Mind is Still at the Coast...

For some strange reason my digital camera was inpsired and gave me some beautiful shots during our trip to Florida. I thought I'd share a bit here.

This is a beautiful old still working lighthouse, maintained by the US Coast Guard. We walked up to the top and had some glorius views.

From the top.

Great photos! Where in Florida is the lighthouse? When we get to Florida (every couple of years) we can watch the pelicans for hours. They are such peculiar, interesting birds!

Hi Becky-

It is in Jupiter, which is just north of West Palm Beach on the Atlantic coast.

In the view from the top you can see the late Perry Como's house on the water. He was in my mil's parish, until his death a few years ago.

It is a beautiful place.... lots of nature, getting busier, but still pretty.

Yes, I love the pelicans, too. Our last visit the pelicans were everywhere and we fished off the pier- well my dh and boys fished and I watched and sketched the pelicans. One of them stole a fish my husband had caught... took it right off the pier deck, hook, line and all and ran off with the fishing pole flopping behind! All the fishermen helped my dh get the fish out of the pelican's gullet.

They are really funny birds, you are right!

Thanks for your comments.... :)
