Gotta Be Startin' Something....

That Michael Jackson song is now stuck in my mind.. startin' something.. Why do I do that to myself?

But as usual I am starting something. I think it is hard-wired into my personality. Though I did give up a LOT of activities and leadership positions the past couple of years and it felt good.

I am trying to work out daily now and the stress of aerobics is not good on my old bod. So I thought maybe water aerobics at the pool might be nice. I put an announcement in the neighborhood newsletter to see if there is any interest. So far I have 5 calls. B heard the answering machine today and told me someone called about me joining their water aerobics. I haven't had the nerve to tell him yet that I'm organizing it. I'll get the 'look'. The 'mom's at it again' look. :)

I also am pondering whether to take over the neighborhood outreach chair position at our parish. I am the captain for my neighborhood, but the main coordinator of the captians is moving and asked if I was interested.

This is one of those balance things. Being involved, serving, but being protective of this precious time. Also with dog sitting and doing more data work for dh's company, it is easy to get off track.
